MU Men's Basketball at Del Val in MAC Freedom Semifinals

The Misericordia University men's basketball team will travel to Delaware Valley for a MAC Freedom Semifinal, Wednesday, February 26 at 7:00 p.m.

The Cougars are seeded third while Delaware Valley earned the second seed via tiebreaker over the Cougars.  Stevens will host Arcadia in the other semifinal.

Misericordia is 15-10 overall and Delaware Valley is 13-12.  Both teams finished 8-6 in the MAC Freedom with each team beating each other on the road.

The Aggies won 73-61 at Misericordia in the league opener while the Cougars won 69-58 at Del Val, Feb. 1.

The Cougars are led by senior guard Kevin Lazdowsky, who is second in the league with 17.7 points per game and 11th with 5.6 rebounds per game.

Matt Prociak is sixth in the league with 16.3 ppg and fifth with 7.3 rpg.

R.J. Weise is third in the league with 3.5 assists per game and leads the league with a 2.2 assists/turnover ratio.

MU's Jack Gallagher is third in the league with 1.7 steals per game and Lazdowsky and Weise are fifth and sixth, respectively.

Arvel Chandler is sixth in the league with 0.7 blocked shots per game and Gallagher is eighth.

The Aggies are led by Antonio Redding, who is third in the league in scoring with 17.5 points per game.  Mike Herrin is tied for ninth in the league with 14.4 ppg.

Zoelin Pair is third in the league with 9.6 rpg and leads the league in field goal % (56.9).

Redding leads the league in free throw % (92.1), three-point % (51.1) and three-point field goals per game (3.4).

Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for seniors and children.  MAC students with ID and children under six are free.

Wednesday's winners will advance to the MAC Freed title game Saturday.
