A furious second-half rally came up just short as the Misericordia University men's basketball team lost at Delaware Valley, 67-62, in the MAC Freedom Semifinals, Wednesday.
Down 58-44 with 6:09 to play, the Cougars charged back to within a point, 63-62, with :15 remaining
The Aggies made four free throws in the final :11 to clinch the win.
Kevin Lazdowsky led the Cougars with 16 points and R.J. Weise had nine points and 12 rebounds as the duo closed out their careers.
Matt Prociak had 11 points.

Darryl Wright hit back-to-back-to-back three-pointers in a two-minute span to get the Cougars within 58-53 with 3:49 to go.
Weise hit another three and Lazdowsky's putback cut the deficit to 62-59 with just :35 remaining.
Arvel Chandler continued the charge with a three-pointer slice the margin to 63-62 with :15 to go.
The teams traded baskets throughout most of the first half and Weise made a pair of free throws to give MU a 19-17 lead with 8:02 to go.
After a Prociak layup with 3:12 to play, the Aggies closed the half on an 8-0 run to take a 34-25 halftime lead.
The Cougars ended the season with a 15-11 record.
