The Misericordia University STUNT team opened the 2025 season with a 16-11 win at East Stroudsburg University, Thursday.

 

Anna Mellody was named Power Player of the Game for her contributions in all four quarters while Caleigh Brown was named Stunter of the Game and Emma DiCarlo earned Tumbler of the Game.

 

Mellody, Brown, DiCarlo, Audry Weiss and Emily Kaiser all scored at least 30 points.

 

The Cougars took a 3-1 lead after the first quarter, which consists of partner stunts.

 

In quarter two, pyramids and basket tosses, Misericordia earned three more points to take a 6-3 halftime lead.

 

The Cougars had a powerful third quarter while showcasing their strengths in jumps and tumbling to build a 10-4 lead. 

 

In the fourth quarter, team routines, the Cougars held off an ESU rally to win 16.11.

on to their lead and finished the game with a score of 16-11. 

 

The Cougars will host East Stroudsburg at 6:00pm on Thursday, March 20th.
