The Misericordia University softball team swept a doubleheader at Delaware Valley, 11-7, 8-3, Saturday.

Bridget Doherty and Emily Susanj had four hits each in the opener and Casey Funesti had three hits and three RBI.  Gianna Foreman had two hits and drove in the three runs.
 
Gabby Cruz stuck out six in five innings to pick the win in relief.
 
Foreman and Funesti both homered in the second game and Mackenzie Fizer drove in three runs.
 
Morgan Kelly pitched six innings to get the win.
 
The Cougars fell behind 6-0 after two innings, but got back in the game with five runs in the top of the third thanks to three straight hits, including a two-run double by Funesti.
 
Funesti put MU in front with a solo homer in the fifth, but the Aggies tied it with a run in the bottom of the sixth.
 
Gianna Russo singled in two runs and Foreman belted a two-run homer to give the Cougars an 11-7 lead in the top of the seventh.
 
In game two, the Cougars jumped out a 4-0 lead in the top of the first on a two-run single by Fizer and Funesti's two-run homer.
 
Del Val cut the lead in half in the bottom of the first, but were held to just one run the rest of the way.
 
Foreman added some insurance with a three-run homer in the sixth.
