Fresh off the first season of ice hockey at Misericordia University, senior standouts
Dom Della Civita and
Zach Ross have signed professional contracts in the Federal Prospects Hockey League
Della Civita signed with the Watertown Wolves of the while Ross will play for the Danbury Hat Tricks.
"We are excited to see Dom and Zach get the opportunity to play at the next level," said Misericordia head coach Kevin Cole. "They were both excellent on and of the ice in helping start the hockey program at Misericordia University."
A senior defenseman, Della Civita served as a team captain and had two goals and five assists in 22 games.
Ross, a senior defenseman, had a goal and a team-high 11 assists while playing in all 25 games.
A native of Trenton, Ontario, Della Civita's hockey career has been marked by impressive achievements, including his role as the inaugural season captain of his college team.
Della Civita's journey to professional hockey began at Morrisville State College and came to Misericordia for his last college season. His leadership helped lay the foundation for the team's future success, and his work ethic and commitment to his teammates made him a respected figure both on and off the ice.
"Being the inaugural captain of my college team was an honor and I'm proud of what we accomplished," said Della Civita. "I'm excited for the opportunity to continue my career with the Watertown Wolves and contribute to their success in the second half of the season. I look forward to bringing the same leadership and determination to this next step in my career."

Ross, a native of Portland, OR, spent four seasons at Northland College (WI) where he registered 18 points in 69 games.
Prior to his collegiate career, Ross played two years of junior hockey with the Thief River Falls Norskies in the Superior International Junior Hockey League, accumulating 52 points and 39 penalty minutes in 101 contests.
