MU Softball Concludes Spring Trip With Sweep

The Misericordia University softball team ended its spring team with a sweep of a pair of games over Concordia (Chi) and John  Carroll, Friday in Melbourne, FL.

The Cougars beat Concordia, 13-0, in five innings and edged John Carroll, 7-6.

Gianna Foreman had two hits, including a homer, and drove in three runs in the opener.  Rylie Nasso, Mackenzie Fizer, Kiersten Tinio and Kaitlyn Slusser all had two hits.

Emily Susanj drove in two runs and Morgan Kelly had a pinch-hit bases-loaded double.

Marisa Kelly allowed just three hits over five innings to earn the win.

Trailing 5-0 in the fourth inning, the Cougars scored seven runs in the next three innings to come-from-behind

Kate Mager had two hits and four RBI and Bridget Doherty added two hits.
