Softball Drops Pair at #17 Moravian

The Misericordia University softball team dropped a doubleheader at #17 Moravian, Tuesday.
 
The Cougars lost the opener, 3-0, and fell 8-0 in six innings in the nightcap.
 
Gianna Foreman singled down the left field line to lead off the seventh inning for MU's lone hit in the opener.
 
Bridget Doherty, Casey Funesti, Emily Susanj and Gabby Cruz all had hits in the nightcap.
 
Down 1-0 through four innings, the Cougars put two runners on in the top of the fifth.  Susanj singled with two outs and Cruz walked, but both runners were stranded.
 
The Greyhounds scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to end the game.
