The Misericordia University softball team split a doubleheader at King's, Thursday.
The Cougars dropped the opener, 4-2, but won the nightcap, 8-1.
Bridget Doherty had two hits and scored two runs in the opener and
Gianna Russo drove in two runs on a pair of sacrifice flies.
MU scored seven runs over the final three innings to win game two.
Mackenzie Fizer was 4-4 with two RBI and
Emily Susanj had three hits.
Kiersten Tinio had two hits and two RBI and Doherty scored twice and drove in two runs.
Marisa Kelly allowed just three hits over six innings to earn the win.
Doherty led off game one with a double and gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead on Russo's sac fly to left.
Doherty doubled again to start the third and came home on Russo's sac fly to right.
King's got a run back in the bottom of the third and went ahead with three runs in the fourth.
In game two, Tinio singled in a run to tie the game in the top of the third.
Fizer singled in a pair of runs to give MU a 3-1 lead in the fifth.
Doherty, Tinio and Russo all drove in runs in the sixth to make it 6-1.
Susanj singled in a run in the seventh and Doherty drove in a run on a fielder's choice to close out the scoring in the eighth.
