The Misericordia University women's golf team is in eighth place after the opening day of the MAC Championships, Saturday at Golden Oaks Golf Club in Fleetwood.

Jordyn Ruane led the Cougars with an 85 and is tied for 17^th.

Paige Perry is in 33^rd place in the 52-player field.

The tournament concludes with the second round, Sunday.
