The Stevens women's lacrosse team used a big second half to break open a close game on the way to a 19-4 win over Misericordia University, Saturday at Mangelsdorf Field.
Rachel Shook scored three of MU's four goals and
Delaney Campanella added a goal.
Shook gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead with a shot from the left wing on the game's opening possession.
After Stevens scored twice late in the first quarter, Campanella used a spin move to tie the score with 2:33 left.
Down 5-2 midway through the second quarter, Shook came from behind the cage to beat the shot clock with a short-handed goal with 6:23 left in the first half.
Stevens answered less than a minute later and took a 6-3 lead into halftime.
Shook opened the third quarter with a shot from the left post to get MU within 6-4, but the Ducks closed the game on a 13-0 run.
