The Misericordia University baseball season ended with a hard-fought 7-5 loss to Arcadia in the MAC Freedom Semifinals, Saturday at Tambur Field.

Brian Korchok and
Owen Daminger both had three hits and
Brock Bollinger had a homer and a double.

Arcadia took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second and the Cougars got a run back in the bottom of the inning.

Daminger lined an 0-2 pitch to center and
Jeff Policarpio was hit by a pitch. Both runners moved up on a balk and
Drew Van Horn drove in a run on ground out.

The score stood through the fifth with Arcadia adding a run in the top of the sixth inning to take a 3-1 lead.

Bollinger led off the bottom of the sixth with a solo homer to left center and Korchok followed with a line drive single to right field. Daminger hit a one-hop double off the fence in center to drive home the tying run.

Arcadia got a two-out, pinch-hit, two-run triple and an infield chopper to plate three runs in the top of the seventh go back in front, 6-3.

Burger reached via hit by pitch to start the bottom of the seventh and Bollinger hit a two-out double off the fence in center to drive in a run and Korchok singled inside the third-base bag to make it 6-5.

Arcadia added an insurance run in the eighth and the Cougars went down in order over the final two innings.
