The Misericordia University men's soccer team dropped its first-ever meeting with New York University, 4-0, Sunday afternoon in Newark, NJ.

The Violets took the lead in the fifth minute.

MU threatened midway through the first half when Shane Macko's shot hit the crossbar and Noah Romig's rebound was denied.

NYU struck twice in a 65-second span just seven minutes later.

NYU added an insurance goal in the 80^th minute.
