The Misericordia University cheerleading team wrapped up the UCA Championships with a third-place finish in the Open-All Girl Division Traditional Routine, Sunday morning at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex, Sunday in Orlando, FL.

The Cougars' outstanding performance increased their position from fifth place after Saturday's semifinals.

"In a very competitive division, we were able to showcase amazing and climb the rankings," said senior team captain Rebecca Razzis.  "The months of hard work and training we put in to master this routine was worth it."

"The skill-based traditional routine our program had performed was the most difficult routine we have executed in the competitive arena," said graduate assistant coach Kaitlyn Shatzel. "The athleticism this routine demanded was intense and our athletes did a great job executing it. They came off the mat feeling confident in what they did. I'm just so proud of them."
