The Misericordia University women's volleyball team swept Delaware Valley, 3-0, Wednesday evening on Doc Mould court.

Keira McCaffrey led the Cougars with 11 kills while
Cassandra Genduso added six and
Sarah Steeber had four.
Olivia Conza recorded 17 assists and nine digs while
Maggie Duda posted six aces.

Misericordia fell behind 2-0 early in the first set before taking a 4-3 lead on a kill from Genduso.

The Cougars extended their lead with kills from McCaffrey and
Jennifer Nicometo before McCaffrey served back-to-back aces to make it 11-6.

The Cougars continued to build their advantage as
Taylor Marsh and Genduso recorded kills.

Misericordia closed the set on a 5-0 run, including two kills from McCaffrey, to take the opening set, 25-12.

The second set was tied at 5-5 before Misericordia took control. A block from Nicometo and McCaffrey gave the Cougars a 6-5 lead before Steeber and Marsh added kills. Conza then served back-to-back aces as MU extended its lead to 11-6.

Misericordia continued to pull away as Nicometo added an ace and a kill while McCaffrey also recorded a kill and an ace. The Cougars closed the set with three straight points, including a kill and ace from McCaffrey, to win 25-13.

Delaware Valley opened the third set with a 1-0 lead, but the Cougars quickly responded with an 8-0 run. Duda recorded two aces during the run while McCaffrey and Genduso added kills.

The Aggies cut the deficit to 11-6, but Misericordia answered with kills from Steeber and Genduso and an ace from McCaffrey.

The Cougars maintained their lead throughout the remainder of the set and finished the match with a kill from Steeber, 25-14.
