The Misericordia University Rocket League Blue edged Missouri State, 4-3, Wednesday night.
 
The Cougars opened with a 3-1 win thanks to a pair of early goals from Gavin Henderson.
 
Missouri State won game two, 4-1.
 
MU won game three, 2-1, and took game four, 6-0, behind a hat trick from Kareem Jefferson.
 
Missouri State won game five, 2-1, and game six, 5-4, to force game seven.
 
A team effort and a purposeful slow-rolling shot by Connor Laubach keyed a 5-3 victory to clinch the series win and improve MU's record to 1-1.
 
Jefferson had nine goals, six assists and six saves while Henderson had nine goals and eight saves.
 
Laubach added four goals, three assists and three saves.
 
Misericordia Blue's next match is against Trent University, February 18.
 
Misericordia Gold will play Mount Union, Monday, February 16 at 8:00 and Elon University, February 18 at 9:00.
