The Misericordia University Rocket League Gold team defeated Mt. Union, 4-3, Monday. 
 
After dropping the first two games, the Cougars rallied to win three straight games and took the decisive game in overtime.
 
Tristan Cuellar and Cameron Purrington scored goals to lift the Cougars to a 2-0 win in game three and Antonio Cordaro scored in overtime to win game four.
 
The Cougars won game five, 1-0, but Mt. Union stayed alive with a 3-1 win in game six.
 
Purrington scored the game-winner in game seven as the Cougars improved to 1-1.
 
Purrington led the team with six goals and nine saves while Cuellar had three goals, six assists and 10 saves.  Cordaro added three goals, six assists and eight saves.
 
The team will face Elon University, Wednesday at 9:00 while the MU Blue team will face Trent University at 8:00.
