Box Score Eli Stoute's shot from just inside half-court at the buzzer lifted the fourth-seeded Misericordia University men's basketball team to a thrilling 58-57 upset at top-seeded Arcadia.

In a back-and-forth contest, the Cougars appeared to lose 57-55 on a buzzer-beating jumper by the Knights.

Upon further review, 0.6 was added to the clock and
Arvel Chandler threw a strike to Stoute on the in-bounds pass in front the MU bench where he turned and drained the game-winner.

Matt Prociak led the Cougars with a double-double, finishing with 19 points and 10 rebounds while
Jack Gallagher also posted a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds,

Stoute added 11 points, including the game-winner.

Misericordia opened the scoring as Gallagher drove into the lane, spun off his defender, and converted a tough finish. Trailing 3–2, Stoute connected on a three-pointer from the right corner to give the Cougars a 5–3 lead.

After a brief scoring drought, Misericordia trailed 18–13 near the midway point of the first half. Back-to-back three-pointers from the left wing by
Ryan Nasuti and Prociak swung the momentum, putting the Cougars ahead 19–18 with just under 10 minutes remaining in the first half.

Prociak followed by battling for an offensive putback to extend the lead to 23–18 and
D.J. Orloff scored on a falling hook shot in the paint on the next possession to cap a 10–0 Misericordia run.

Leading 25–24 with under four minutes left in the first half, Gallagher continued to dominate inside, muscling his way to the rim for the finish.

Nearly two minutes later, he drove again and completed an and-one layup to give the Cougars a 29–28 advantage.

With 10 seconds remaining in the half and Misericordia trailing 30–29, Orloff knocked down a pull-up jumper from the elbow as the shot clock expired, sending the Cougars into halftime with a 31–30 lead.

Prociak opened the second-half scoring with a layup underneath, giving Misericordia a 33–32 edge. Trailing 42–37 midway through the half, Gallagher buried a three-pointer from the left wing to cut the deficit to two.

Two minutes later, he scored again in the post on a short hook shot through traffic as the Cougars reclaimed the lead, 44–42.

Tied 44–44, Prociak drained a three from the right corner to put Misericordia ahead 47–44 with just under eight minutes to play. The teams traded baskets over the next seven minutes until Arcadia connected on a fade-away jumper as time expired to take a 57–55 lead.
