The Misericordia University men's volleyball team picked up its first MAC win of the season with a 3-0 sweep at King's.

The Cougars won 25-20, 25-15, 25-22 to improve to 9-10 overall and 1-1 in the MAC.

Jackson Fehnel and
Noah Reen had eight kills each to lead the Cougars while
Benjamin Clendening had seven kills.

Joe Kozak had six blocks and two aces.

Andrew George had 20 assists and
Evan Schmidt had 17 while Fehnel led the team with nine digs.

The Cougars broke an 11-11 tie in the first set with a 5-2 run that included two blocks by Kozak.

Fehnel had two kills as part of another 5-2 run to close out the set.

MU scored seven straight points, including three kills from
Isaac Drake, to take a 12-6 lead in the second set.Â

Reen and
Peter Breski had aces to cap a 4-0 run to close out the set.

Trailing 20-18 in the third set,
Logan Romeika, Fehnel and Clendening all had kills to give MU a 22-20 lead.

Kozak clinched the win with a kill.
