The Misericordia University volleyball team swept Eastern in a key MAC contest, Wednesday night on Doc Mould Court.
The Cougars won 25-12, 25-22, 25-22 to improve to 3-3 in the MAC and move into fourth place in the league standings.
Christopher U'Glay had 10 kills, three blocks and three aces and Jackson Fehnel added nine kills.
Joe Kozak had three kills to key an 11-1 run to give MU a 13-4 lead in the opener.
Fehnel and Kozak had back-to-back kills and Clendening had an ace as the Cougars scored four straight points to take a 13-11 lead in game two.
U'Glay had two kills and a block to break a 17-17 tie to give MU a 20-17 lead.
The Cougars scored their final three points of the set on Eastern errors.
Down 20-19 in the finale, Isaac Griffin, Fehnel and Kozak had consecutive kills an Eastern error put MU in front, 23-20.
Another Fehnel kill and Eagles' error closed out the 25-22 win.
