The Misericordia University softball team swept a non-conference doubleheader at Albright, 15-3, 12-0, Monday.

The Cougars scored in every inning of game one, including a six-run outburst in the seventh inning. MU exploded four nine runs in the top of the seventh in game two.

Casey Funesti had three hits in the opener and
Gianna Foreman drove in four runs with a double and a homer.Â

Mackenzie Fizer,
Alicia Moran,
Stephanie Barone and
Mikayla Sasuk all had two hits.

Gabby Cruz worked five innings to pick up the win.

Funesti had three more hits in the nightcap and Fizer drove in three runs.

Morgan Kelly and
Juleigh Bowmaster worked two scoreless innings each.

Foreman's two-run double gave MU a 2-0 lead in the top of the first in game one. Fizer singled in a run and Foreman drew a bases-loaded walk to make it 4-0 in the second.
