The Misericordia University men's lacrosse team had its six-game win streak snapped with a hard-fought 11-9 loss to Arcadia, Wednesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.

Jack Simone led the Cougars with five goals and two assists and
Ty Murawski added a pair of goals.

Lincoln Brayford had four ground balls and
Danny D'Amato had two caused turnovers and two ground balls.

Arcadia jumped out to a 4-1 lead after one quarter, but the Cougars turned the tables in the second quarter.

Simone came from behind the net and cut across the crease and whipped a shot inside the left post with 12:21 left in the second quarter.

After an Arcadia goal,
Patrick Dwyer and Simone scored less than a minute apart.

Dwyer charged down the middle, cut left and fired a shot just under the crossbar with 9:11 to play in the second period.

Simone followed with another outstanding individual effort less than a minute later. He beat a defender on the right wing, cut to the top of the circle and ripped a shot into the upper right corner to get with 5-4 with 8:30 to go.

Simone took a feed from Troiano and fired a shot from five yards out inside the left post to pull the Cougars even with 2:54 to play in the first half.

Arcadia went back in front early in the third quarter and Simone and
Ian Young scored less than a minute apart to give MU its first lead of the game, 7-6.

The teams traded goals the rest of the way until Arcadia scored twice over the final 4:20 to secure the win.
