Misericordia University Athletics

The Misericordia University men's soccer team fell to NYU, 5-1, Sunday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.
 
Noah Romig scored the lone goal for the Cougars on a penalty kick late in the second half.
 
NYU scored in the second minute of the match.
 
Aiden Boyer had MU's first shot on goal on a free kick in the second minute, but it was saved by the Violets goalkeeper.
 
NYU added two more goals in the seventh and 12^th minutes of the game to make it a 3-0 lead.
 
Dautari Emuren subbed in midway through the first and had a great chance at 21:38 as he received the ball inside of the box, but his shot sailed just high.
 
NYU added a goal in the 42^nd minute to extend their lead to 4-0 lead going into the half.
 
Romig had MU's first shot of the second half on a free kick at 63:19, but it was saved.
 
The Violets added one more goal in the 87^th minute.
 
Romig was fouled in the box and converted the PK in the 89^th minute for MU's lone goal.
