2023 Men’s Lacrosse 

The Cougars finished 10-9 and advanced to the MAC Freedom semifinals in Coach Andrew Hauk’s first season with the Cougars. 

Robert Wagner and Jake Miller were both named to the All-MAC Freedom first-team. Connor Bevan, Michael Kilgallon III, Kyle Vandenberg, Spencer Sundeberg and Don Conway made second-team and Ryan Vandenberg earned honorable mention. 

Wagner led the league with 5.47 points per game and 3.53 assists per game. He had a league-high 53 assists. 

Kyle Vandenberg set the school single-season record with 56 goals and finished second in the MAC Freedom with 2.95 goals per game. He was tied for second in the league with 2.89 points per game. 

Ryan Vandenberg tied the school single-game record with nine goals in a win over King’s. 

Wagner was named USILA All-American honorable mention. He is Misericordia’s all-time leader with 327 points and 182 goals. He was also named Academic All-District and MAC All-Academic.

 
2022 Men’s Lacrosse 
The Cougars finished 12-6 and reached the MAC Freedom semifinals. 

Robert Wagner was named the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Year and was joined on the All-MAC Freedom first-team by Michael Kilgallon and Spencer Sundeberg. Carson Venis and Donald Conway made second-team and Ryan Vandenberg earned honorable mention. 

Wagner led the MAC Freedom with 103 points, 5.72 points per game, 64 assists and 3.56 assists per game. He set single-season records for assists and points and became MU’s all-time leader with 129 assists and 245 points. He tied the school single-game record with seven assists in a win over Lycoming. 

Venis led the team with 49 goals and was second in scoring with 67 points. He led the MAC Freedom with 3.06 goals per game and was third with 4.19 points per game. He set a school single-game record with nine goals against Neumann. 

Wagner earned honorable mention USILA All-American status for the second consecutive year. He was named the ECAC Division III Offensive Player of the Year. 

Off the field, Wagner was named Academic All-District, Misericordia’s Male Scholar Athlete of the Year and USILA D-III Dynamic Scholar All-American.

 
2021 Men’s Lacrosse 
The Cougars finished 10-4 and reached the MAC Freedom championship game for the sixth time in the last seven seasons. 

Patrick Luzzi and Robert Wagner were named to the All-MAC Freedom first-team while Nick Torzilli and Spencer Sundeberg earned second-team honors. 

Luzzi led the Cougars in scoring and broke his own school single-season record with 83 points. He tied his own school record with 53 goals and was second on the team with 30 assists. He tied the single-game record with eight goals in a win over Wilkes. 

Wagner was second on the team in scoring with 75 points on 36 goals and set a school single-season record with 39 assists. He tied the school single-game record with seven assists in a win over Wilkes. 

Wagner was named USILA All-America honorable mention to become the first All-American in the history of the program. He was also named to the 2021 Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Region team as an honorable mention.

 
2020 Men’s Lacrosse 
Season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

2019 Men’s Lacrosse 
The Cougars finished the season at 9-7 in the MAC Freedom Semifinals. 

Patrick Luzzi and Brandon Winslow were both named All-MAC Freedom first-team while Dominic Campanale and Matt Beck made second-team and Paul Hanrahan earned honorable mention. 

Luzzi led the team in scoring with a school-record 78 points and a new single-season mark with 53 goals. He tied the school single-game record with eight goals and two assists in a win over King’s.  

Companale led the team in caused turnovers with 16 and collected 35 ground balls.

 
2018 Men’s Lacrosse 
The Cougars finished the season at 14-2 in the MAC Freedom Championship game. They set a school record for wins in a season. 

Patrick Kellish was named the MAC Freedom Offensive Player of the Year and was named All-MAC first-team. He was joined on the first-team by John Tierney while Brandon Winslow and Paul Hanrahan were both named to the second-team. Patrick Newins earned honorable mention. 

Kellish led the Cougars in scoring with 70 points on 48 goals and 22 assists while becoming MU’s all-time leader with 162 goals and 235 points. He tied his own school record with eight goals in a win over Mt. St. Mary. He set a new school single-season scoring mark with 70 points. 

Tierney led MU with 31 caused turnovers and was fourth on the team with 42 ground balls. He had 21 caused turnovers in seven league games. 

Kellish was named a Scholar All-American by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association and was named the 2017-2018 Misericordia Wendy’s Athlete of the Year.

2017 Men’s Lacrosse 
The 2017 season was historic for the Cougars, going 13-4 and culminating in the program’s first MAC Freedom Championship. They clinched a spot in the NCAA Tournament where they beat Lassell, 9-7, the program’s first ever NCAA Tournament victory. They finished their season in the second round. 

The 2017 Misericordia men’s lacrosse team was the first MAC Freedom men’s lacrosse team to win a game in the NCAA Tournament.

Pat Kellish, Brandon Winslow and John Tierney were named to All-MAC Freedom first-team while Kyle Reese made the second-team. Chris Fleming, Ryan Romaine and Paul Hanrahan earned honorable mention. 

Kellish led the league with 3.38 points per game. 

Tierney was named Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic All-Region honorable mention. He led the Cougars with 28 caused turnovers and was third with 45 ground balls. 

Alec Kellish, Pat Kellish and Winslow were named to the All-MAC Academic team. 

Alec Kellish was the MAC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year. 

Coach Jim Ricardo was named MAC Freedom Coach of the Year. He went over the 100-win plateau for his career and guided MU to set a school record for wins in a season.

2016 Men’s Lacrosse 
The Misericordia Men’s Lacrosse team finished 10-7 in the MAC Freedom championship after finishing third in the MAC Freedom at 4-3. 

Andrew Reynolds was named to the All-MAC Freedom first-team while Lane Kocovsky, Phil Fraher, Kyle Reese and John Tierney were all named to the second-team. 

Kocovsky led the team with 44 goals during the regular season and was second in points with 56. He was second in the MAC Freedom with 2.93 goals per game and ranked sixth in the league with 3.79 points per game. He tied the school single-game record with eight goals against Rosemont. His 44 goals are the second-most single-season total in school history. His 56 points is the fifth-highest single-season total in school history. 

Reynolds led the team in face-off percentage (.628) after winning 86 of 137 face-offs. 

Reynolds was named to the MAC All-Academic team.


2015 Men’s Lacrosse 

The Cougars finished 10-8 overall and ended their season in the first round of the ECAC South championships after falling to Eastern in the Freedom Conference championship game. 

Andrew Reynolds was named to the All-Freedom first-team while Pat Kellish, Eric Dittmeier, Alec Killish, Patrick Newins and Patrick Johnson were named to the second team. Brandon Winslow earned honorable mention. 

Pat Kellish led the Cougars in scoring with 64 points (43g, 21a), the second-highest single-season points total in school history. Kellish tied MU’s single-game record with eight goals. 

Pat Kellish and Reynolds were named to the MAC All-Academic team.
 
2014 Men's Lacrosse
The Cougars finished 7-8 overall and tied for third (3-3) in the Freedom Conference, but missed the post-season on tiebreaker.
 
Andrew Reynolds, Eric Dittmeier and Matt Martins were named second-team All-Freedom while Jeff Antonucci and Jared Hunt were honorable mention All-Freedom.
 
Reynolds had the second-highest single-season goals total (40) in school history and fifth-highest points total (53) and moved to ninth in career goals (63).
 
Nick Santillo finished eighth in career points (105), goals (71) and assists (34).
 
Patrick Johnson became the all-time leader in saves (457) and GAA (.815).
 
Reynolds was the team MVP and Kyle Purvis earned the Coach’s Award.

2013 Men's Lacrosse
The Cougars finished 10-7 and earned their first Freedom Conference championships berth.
 
MU hosted their first post-season game and beat DeSales 8-7 in double-overtime to advance to their first Freedom title game.
 
Kyle Calabro, Sean McGuigan, Nick Santillo, Drew Abatangelo and Patrick Johnson were named second-team All-Freedom while Jared Hunt and Matt Martins were honorable mention All-Freedom.
 
Santillo cracked the top 10 in career points (86), goals (55) and assists (31) and Johnson became the career leader in wins (19), save % (60.5%) and GAA (7.54).
 
Calabro was the team MVP and Abatangelo earned the Coach’s Award.


2012 Men's Lacrosse
The Cougars enjoyed their best season ever at 11-5 and earned their first ECAC Tournament berth.
 
MU got off to an 11-1 start, including a school-record 10-game winning streak.
 
Lee Blair was named first-team All-Freedom and Drew Abatangelo was named second-team.
 
Blair set a school single-season scoring record with 65 points.  His 37 goals and 28 assists were both the third-highest single-season totals in school history.
 
Blair finished second in career points (198), goals (120) and assists (78).
 
Sean McGuigan had the second-highest single-season goals total in school history (38).
 
Pat McTague was the team MVP and Blair earned the Coach’s Award.
 
Freshman Patrick Johnson set school records for wins in a season (11) and goals against average (6.98).


2011 Men's Lacrosse
The Cougars enjoyed their best season ever at 7-9 after getting off to their best start ever (6-2).

Junior attack Lee Blair was the team MVP. He finished second in the MAC in goals (36), assists (20) and points (56).

His 56 points tied for the second-highest single-season total in school history and his 36 goals were second all-time. He moved into third place in career goals (83) and points (132).

Zach Buckley earned the Coach’s Award.

Junior Ryan Kay set a school record for wins in a season at goalkeeper and tied the career mark (12). He is the all-time leader in games played in goal (41).

Kyle Calabro scored the sixth-most goals in a season (34) in school history.



2010 Men's Lacrosse

 

The Cougars finished 4-12 overall and 2-9 in their second season in the MAC.

Sophomore midfielder Pat McTague was the team MVP.

Sophomore attack Lee Blair earned the Coach's Award.

Blair led the team in goals and points. His 31 goals were the seventh-most in school history while his 43 points were tied for eighth.

McTague led the team with 17 assists- ninth-most in school history.

Blair moved into fifth in career points (76), goals (47) and assists (29).

McTague is 10th in career points (42) and seventh in assists (22).

Sophomore goalie Ryan Kay tied a school record with 15 games played in goal and moved into third place in career games played in goal (25).

Dom Lucenti and Brian Ratajczak were recognized as four-year seniors.



2009 Men's Lacrosse

The Cougars finished 3-12 overall and 1-9 in their first season in the MAC.

Senior defenseman Tim Bojanowski was the team MVP.

Bojanowski ended his career as MU's all-time leader in groundballs.

Freshman Lee Blair led the team in scoring with 34 points (16g, 18a)- the eighth-highest single-season assist total in school history.

Freshman Sean McGuigan had a team-high 27 goals- the sixth-highest total in school history.

McGuigan received the Coach's Award.

Bojanowski and Ryan Blevins were recognized as four-year seniors.

2008 Men's Lacrosse

The Cougars finished 3-10 overall.

Tim Bojanowski was a second-team All-PAC selection.

Bojanowski was named team MVP.

Jared Smith received the Coach's Award and was named to the PAC Sportsmanship team.

Bill Hack and the Cougars recorded the first shutout in school history with a 5-0 win over Wells.

2007 Men's Lacrosse

The Cougars tied the school record for wins in a season (6-7).

Sean Collins was a first-team All-PAC selection, while Mike Chisolm, Chris Vachon and Ryan Dwyer earned honorable mention.

Dwyer was the team MVP for the second straight season, and Collins received the Coach's Award.

Collins ended his career as CM's all-time leading scorer with 212 points. He is also first in career assists (103) and second in goals (109).

 

2006 Men's Lacrosse

The Cougars tied the school record for wins in a season (6-10) and qualified for the PAC playoffs for the third time in four years.

Sean Collins was a first-team All-PAC selection, while Matt Carey and Ryan Dwyer were named second-team All-PAC. Kevin Malkin earned honorable mention.

Dwyer was the team MVP, and Jared Kohler received the Coach’s Award.

Collins broke his own single-season scoring record with 62 points (27g, 35a).  His 35 goals were also a new school record and he became CM’s all-time assists leader (77).

Carey ended his career as CM’s all-time leader in points (188) and goals (150).

Carey set a school single-game record with 8 goals against Eastern.

Collins set school single-game records for assists (7) vs. Eastern and points (12) vs. Cazenovia.

Carey, Matt Davis, Bob Dmuchowski, Josh Kane and Kohler were honored as four-year lettermen.  Doug Metrick was also a senior.

 

2005 Men's Lacrosse

Despite missing the PAC playoffs for the first time in three seasons, the Cougars still tied the best record in school history (6-9).

Sean Collins set a new school single-season scoring record with 56 points (35g, 21a).

Matt Carey is CM's all-time leader in points (137) and goals (114).

Brandon Fields ended his career as the school's all-time assists leader (110).

Collins, Kevin Malkin, Paul Lawruk and Bobby Dmuchowski were named second-team All-PAC while Carey received honorable mention.

Collins was the team MVP, and Bob Wagner earned the Coach's Award.

 

2004 Men's Lacrosse

In Jim Ricardo's second year as head coach, the Cougars enjoyed the best season in their four-year history.

CM finished 6-9 and set a school record for wins in a season. They finished 3-3 in the PAC and qualified for the playoffs for the second straight season.

Matt Carey broke his own school scoring record with 54 points (46g, 8a). He was the 7th leading scorer in Division III lacrosse. He also became the first player in team history to earn first team All-PAC honors and first-team All-ECAC honors.

Sean Collins was second on the team in scoring and set a school freshman scoring record with 46 points (25g, 21a).

Brandon Fields set a school record with 29 assists and was third on the team in scoring with 44 points.

Bobby Dmuchowski and Matt Crow both received All-PAC honorable mention.

Carey was the team MVP for the second consecutive season, and Jeremy Regina received the Coach's Award.

 

2003 Men's Lacrosse

Under first year head coach, Jim Ricardo, the Cougars enjoyed their best season in their three year history.

CM finished 5-9 and earned their first post-season berth with a 4-3 record in the PAC.

The Cougars played the first night game ever on campus and clinched their playoff berth with a thrilling 9-8 win over Neumann.

Freshman Matt Carey became the first CM player to earn All-PAC honors. He set a school scoring record with 33 goals and 43 points. He was also named Wendy's Athlete of the Month in March.

Brandon Fields led the team in assists with 15 and finished in second in total points with 29.

Matt Rowland finished second in goals with 16 and third in toal points with 24.

Freshman goalie Chris Brauch made 203 saves and had a save percentage of 57.

Captain Nick Sisca finished his career with his best season up to date. He had the game winning goal versus Shenandoah in overtime.

Carey was the team MVP, and Justin Snyder earned the Coach's Award.

 

2002 Men's Lacrosse

In just thier second varsity season, the Cougars showed significant improvement over their debut season.

CM defeated SUNY Utica/Rome 13-4, for the first varsity win in school history. They added an overtime win over Cazenovia to finish with a 2-10 record.

Freshman Brandon Fields led the team in scoring with 16 points.

Nick Sisca added 13 points, and Matt Boben had 12.

Boben was the team MVP, and Frank Brophy received the Coach's Award.

 

2001 Men's Lacrosse

With just three players with prior lacrosse experience, the Cougars competed on the varsity level in their first season ever.

CM finished 0-9, but did defeat the Alvernia club team for the first win in the program's history.

Nick Sisca led the team in scoring with six goals and one assist, while Matt Boben added three goals.

Freshman goalie Adam Psak was the team's MVP, while sophomore Jeremy Regina received the Coach's Award.
