Joe Horne

Joe Horne is in his second season as an assistant baseball coach at Misericordia University where he works primarily with infielders and hitters.
 
A native of Hicksville, NY, Horne is a graduate of Wells College with a degree in psychology and a minor in sport management.
 
He was a four-year member of the Wells College baseball team, primarily as a second baseman while also seeing time at shortstop, third base and in the outfield.
 
He was a two-time team captain and is the program’s all-time leader in hit by pitches.
 
As a senior, Horne was named Wells College Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earned United East Conference All-Sportsmanship honors in both the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
 
Following graduation, Horne served as the infield coach for the Cortland Crush of the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL) during the summer of 2023.

He joined the Alfred State College football staff as the defensive backs coach in 2023 and guided two All-Conference players as the Pioneers captured the 2023 Eastern Collegiate Football Conference championship and advanced to the first round of the NCAA Division III national tournament.

Horne returned to Wells College to coach infielders and hitters and oversaw multiple all-conference selections in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.

He joined the Misericordia University baseball staff in 2024 and is pursuing his MBA in sport management.
