Andy Loughnane

Andy Loughnane is in his seventh year as head men’s soccer coach at Misericordia University.

He led the Cougars to a 12-5-1 record and a MAC runner-up finish in the 2021.
 
He has guided the Cougars to four postseason berths in his first five seasons.
 
Loughnane was named the MAC Freedom Coach of the Year in 2016 after leading the Cougars to a 12-5-3 record and a trip to the MAC Freedom title game.
 
Loughnane is just the second full-time coach in the program’s history along with Chuck Edkins, who spent 25 seasons at the helm before becoming director of athletics.
 
A graduate of Caldwell (NJ) University, Loughnane has spent the last five seasons as the assistant coach at the University of Scranton where he helped the Royals to a 52-27-14 record and two NCAA Tournament appearances.
 
He was a two-time team captain at Caldwell and earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and earned his master’s in biochemistry from Scranton.
