Barry Fitzgerald is in his second season as a graduate assistant coach for the men's soccer team at his alma mater, Misericordia University.
Fitzgerald was a three-year starter in goal for the Cougars before missing his senior season with a knee injury.
A 2016 graduate, he earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy/pre-law.
He was a two-time first-team All-MAC Freedom selection and was the MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore.Â
He helped the Cougars to a MAC Freedom title, an ECAC south championship and two trips to the NCAA Tournament.
Fitzgerald shares the school single-season record for GAA (0.74) and holds the career mark (0.89).
