Jack
Monick is in his ninth season as head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Misericordia University.
In 2023, the MU women’s team tied the school record for wins in a season at 13-7 and reached the MAC Freedom championship match for the first time since 2016.
Previously,
Monick spent more than two decades as the director of athletics at Penn State Wilkes-Barre where he served as head coach of multiple sports, including men’s and women’s tennis.
In eight seasons, he has guided the Misericordia women’s tennis team to a 65-42 record, including six MAC Freedom postseason appearances.
The 2022 women's team set a school record with a 10-match winning streak and Monick was named the 2022 MAC Freedom Women's Tennis Coach of the Year.
A past board member of the United States Tennis Association Middles States section and President of the USTA/MS Eastern District, he is a member of the Keystone State Games Hall of Fame.
Monick has served as Tennis Director/Teaching Pro at
Glenmaura National, Valley Tennis and Swim Club and Newberry Country Club.

USCAA and the Keystone State Games.
He was drafted by the New York Mets in 1969 and is a member of the Wyoming Seminary, Penn State/Wilkes-Barre and
Luzerne County Sports Halls of Fame.
