The only coach in the history of the Misericordia tennis programs,
Allison Joanlanne is in her eighth season as women’s tennis coach and her fifth season as the men’s tennis coach.
She was named as the USTA Eastern Pennsylvania District Collegiate Coach of the Year in 2010.
In 2010-11, she led the women's team to an 11-9 record while improving her career mark to 68-31.
The Cougars reached the Freedom Conference championship match for the third straight season. The MU women have enjoyed a winning record in each of their seven varsity seasons.
The men's team earned a Freedom playoff berth in 2010 - just their third varsity season.
Joanlanne spent four years as a professional tennis instructor at the Premier Athletic Club in Cortland Manor, New York and previously worked as a tennis instructor for the Deptarment of Parks and Recreation in New York City.
She holds a bachelor of science degree in sports management from Old Dominion University where she earned a tennis scholarship.
Joanlanne was named the Old Dominion team MVP and won the Sun Belt Conference Doubles championship in 1987.
She is a member of the United States Tennis Association and is certified as a Professional Tennis Registry Instructor.
