"I am pleased to welcome Scott Miner to Misericordia University," said Edkins.  "His experience as coach and an administrator at the collegiate level will be a tremendous asset to our student-athletes and campus community."

Miner comes to Misericordia after 22 years at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, including the last nine as the director of athletics.

"I am excited about the opportunity to join the athletics staff at Misericordia University," said Miner.  "I believe my experience and enthusiasm will be beneficial to the athletics program.  I look forward to being a part of the winning tradition at MU."

At Penn State, he was responsible for budgeting, scheduling and fundraising for 10 sports.  He also served as athletics facilities manager and intramural director and served on numerous sports committees in the Penn State Athletics Conference system.

Miner earned his bachelor's degree in computer information sciences/business from Bloomsburg University where he was a two-year starter on the baseball team.
