The Misericordia University men's soccer team left DeSales with a 4-2 conference victory Saturday afternoon. Seniors
Cody Hack and
Tyler Mensch each recorded two goals in the win.
Hack struck first with his fifth goal of the season. At 15:16, he blasted a pass from senior midfielder
Max Campbell. The assist was Campbell's team-leading tenth of the season.
Mensch followed with his ninth goal of the season at 33:09. Hack was credited with the assist.
Midfielder Andrew Marshall was the first to score for the Bulldogs when he scored at 55:35 to make it 2-1 in the second half.
Hack retaliated with his second goal of the night at 67:57—his sixth on the season.
Both teams made it interesting late. Mensch scored his second goal of the game at 84:31, and was followed three minutes later by DeSales forward German Reyes.
Goalkeeper
Andrew Loyd had three saves in the win for the Cougars.
The team improved to 12-2-1 with three games remaining in the regular season. They host FDU-Florham Saturday, Oct. 25, at 3:30 p.m.
