Tyler Mensch scored a second-half hat trick to lead the Misericordia University men's soccer team to a thrilling 4-3 overtime win at Wilkes, Thursday.
The Cougars rallied from a 3-0 deficit over the final 30 minutes to improve to 14-2-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the Freedom Conference and clinch the top seed for the post-season.
Max Campbell got the Cougars on the board with a penalty kick and assisted on Mensch' first goal to make it 3-2.
Mensch tied things up with an assist from
Dan Pinto at the 87:00 minute mark.
He tallied the game-winner in the 107th minute off an assist from
Cody Hack.
Andrew Loyd made six saves in goal for the Cougars.
MU held a 4-2 advantage in corners and had a 17-11 edge in shots.
The Cougars will host Eastern in their regular season finale, Saturday at 3:30 at Mangelsdorf Field.
