The Misericordia University women's soccer team scored twice in a three-minute span in the second half enroute to a 3-2 win over Lycoming, Tuesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.
Trailing 2-1,
Kim Suchoski tied the score when she one-timed
Morgan Hill's pass inside the right post at 65:51.
Hill carried the ball just short of the end line before finding Suchoski in front of the net for the game-tying score.
Three minutes later,
Liz Lipovsky was in the right place at the right time when
Erin Shervinskie played a ball through the Lycoming defense that deflected off the Warrior keeper. Lipovsky stripped the ball and buried it into the empty net.
After Lycoming took a 1-0 lead at 14:41,
Jenica Keister won a loose ball in front of the Lycoming goal and slotted the ball past a diving keeper inside the left post at 35:37.
The Cougars had several good scoring opportunities including Hill's shot off the crossbar in the first half and Lipovsky's shot that was deflected off the crossbar early in the second half.
Misericordia had 17-9 edge in shots and an 8-1 advantage in corners.
MU will visit Delaware Valley, Saturday at noon.
