The Misericordia University field hockey season came to an end with a 5-0 loss at 15th-ranked William Paterson in the first round of the ECAC South championships.

The Pioneers scored two goals in the first 14 minutes on their way to a 4-0 halftime lead.

Ellen Howanitz made eight saves in goal for the Cougars.

Misericordia finished 13-8.
