The Misericordia University baseball team lost a non-league game at Widener, 10-2, Friday.

Nate Newman had a pair of doubles to lead the Cougars and Jamie Phillipi added two hits.

Widener scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning on a pair of homeruns.

Misericordia, 4-8, is set to host its home opener against City College of New York, Saturday.
