The Misericordia University baseball team split a doubleheader with Eastern, Saturday afternoon at Misericordia.

After Eastern scored three runs in the top of the seventh to take the opener, 6-4, the Cougars won the nightcap, 11-8.

Brandon Calafut led the Cougars in the nightcap with three hits and five RBI, including a pair of homers.

Mike Murphy added two hits, including a solo homer and Keith Davison blasted a solo homer.

Jamie Phillipi worked five innings to pick up the win and Kevin Gilmore got the final three outs to earn the save.
