The Misericordia University baseball team lost to St. Joseph's (ME), 16-7, Friday at the Port Charlotte Invitational.

Misericordia jumped out to a 4-0 lead, but St. Joe's scored 16 unanswered runs before the Cougars added three runs in the top of the ninth.

Mike Murphy had two hits, including a triple, and three RBI.

Chris Messa had two hits and two RBI and Mike D'Amara added two hits.

Misericordia, 4-5, will complete its southern swing, Saturday morning against Heidelberg.
