After building a 6-2 lead, the Misericordia University baseball team gave up 14 runs over the final four innings in 16-8 loss at Keystone, Wednesday.

Brian Matthews had three hits and two RBI to lead MU while Nate Newman had two hits and three RBI.

Mike Murphy, Chris Messa, Jamie Philippi and Cody Hack all had two hits for the Cougars.

Misericordia, 10-18, will host Centenary in the opener of a three-game series, Friday at 3:00.
