The Misericordia University field hockey team dropped its season opener, 4-2, to Elizabethtown at the Muhlenberg Invitational, Friday.

Haley Ellis scored her first collegiate goal and Camilla Hansen added a goal while Carolyn Gerni and Ashlee Leonard added assists.

Ellen Howanitz made nine saves in goal for MU.

The Cougars will play Susquehanna, Saturday at 11:00 at Muhlenberg.
