Ashlee Leonard scored with just 2:33 remaining in the second overtime and Ellen Howanitz made 19 saves to lift the Misericordia University field hockey team to a 2-1, double-overtime victory at Moravian, Thursday.

Haley Ellis gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead late in the first half with an assist from Leonard off a corner.

Moravian tied the score early in the second half and the teams eventually went to the 7v7 overtime format.

Leonard scored the game-winner on a deflection off a corner by Jen Lozier.

Howanitz had six saves in each half of regulation and added seven in overtime.

MU, 5-2, will host Albright, Saturday at 1:00.
