Ellen Howanitz recorded her first shutout of the season Laura Leighow had three goals and an assist to lead the Misericordia University field hockey team to a 7-0 win over Albright, Saturday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.

Leighow recorded a hat trick against the Lions for the second consecutive season as the Cougars improved to 6-2.

Heather DiMenno added a goal and two assists and Kelly Pelcher scored her first collegiate goal.

Ashlee Leonard and Haley Ellis added goals for the Cougars.

Leighow gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead just over two minutes into the game and Leonard made it 2-0 less than four minutes later.

Misericordia will host Scranton, Tuesday.
