Seven different players scored goals to lead the Misericordia University men's soccer team to a 7-0 win over Gwynedd-Mercy, Saturday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.
Joe Scanlon and
Cody Hack had a goal and an assist and
Joe DiGirolomo, Max Campbell, Alec Parker, Tyler Mensch and
Jay-P Evans all added goals.
DiGirolomo flicked home a serve from Hack 2:15 into the opening period and Campbell scored unassisted midway through the half.
Parker made it 3-0 with his first collegiate goal off a re-start from Scanlon at 30:00 and Hack ripped a shot from 35 yards out three minutes later.
Scanlon closed out the first half scoring on a header with eight minutes remaining.
Mensch made it 6-0 with his own rebound of the crossbar five minutes into the period and Evans scored for the second straight game to conclude the scoring.
Andrew Loyd and
Lurae Brophy combined on the shutout in goal.
MU, 5-2, will visit Baptist Bible, Monday.
