The Misericordia University men's soccer team rallied from an early deficit to win their Freedom Conference opener, 3-1, over Alvernia in front of a Homecoming crowd at Mangelsdorf Field.

Cody Harman, Alec Parker and Max Campbell scored goals and Joe Scanlon added two assists as the Cougars improved to 8-2.

Alvernia took a 1-0 lead 16:50 into the game, but Harman headed home a serve from Scanlon to tie it at 37:55.

Parker put the Cougars ahead just before halftime on a header from Scanlon.

Campbell added an insurance goal on a penalty kick at 73:30.

MU will visit Lebanon Valley in a non-conference match, Wednesday.
