The Misericordia University softball team opened its Freedom Conference schedule with a doubleheader split at DeSales.

After taking the opener, 6-2, MU dropped the nightcap, 3-0.

Nicole Wenner had three hits and an RBI in the opener while Lindsay Miller added two hits, including a two-run double.

Winning pitcher Kat Lucenti and Hollie Sarnak both had two hits. Lucenti had an RBI-double.

Sarnak and Gina Urbon both doubled in game two.

Misericordia is 7-5 overall and 1-1 in the Freedom.
