The Misericordia University field hockey team dropped a 3-0 non-league decision at the University of Scranton, Wednesday afternoon.
The Royals grabbed a 2-0 lead with a pair of goals midway through the first period.
Scranton added an insurance goal with five minutes remaining.
MU had a 17-15 edge in corners while the Royals had a 23-20 advantage in shots.
Grace Riker made 10 saves for the Cougars who fell to 4-4.
The Cougars will open Freedom Conference action, Saturday at Manhattanville.
