The Misericordia University field hockey team dropped a non-league decision to Montclair State, 5-0, Tuesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.

Misericordia's best scoring opportunity came in the second half when Samantha Sorokas' shot caromed off the left post and her rebound was tipped wide of the cage.

The Cougars are 5-5 and return to Freedom Conference action when they host King's, Thursday at 4:00.
