The Misericordia University field hockey dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 decision to Susquehanna as the Crusaders tallied the game-winning goal with 14 seconds to play in regulation, Saturday at the Muhlenberg Invitational.

The Cougars grabbed an early 1-0 lead on Haley Ellis' unassisted goal at 9:18. Ellis dribbled through the circle and poked a shot past the Susquehanna goalie.

Susquehanna tied the score 15 minutes later and the score stood until the final seconds.

Grace Riker made 15 saves in goal for the Cougars.

MU will host Elmira, Saturday at 3:30.
