The Misericordia University softball team used a seventh-inning rally in the nightcap to salvage a split at Marywood, Sunday.
After dropping the opener, 3-0, the Cougars scored twice in the top of seventh for a 4-3 win in the nightcap.
Maria Kidron and
Nicole Boccia both had two hits in the nightcap to make a winner of
Karissa Kross who scattered eight hits and struck out six.
Courtney Novajosky led off the seventh with a walk and moved to third when Kidron reached on error.
Nicole Hoskins walked to load the bases and Novajosky tied the game on a wild pitch.
Kidron scored the game-winner when
Gina Urbon reached on an error.
Novajosky had three of Misericordia's six hits in the opener. Marywood took a 2-0 lead in the second and added an insurance run in the sixth.
MU is 5-3 and will host Lycoming, Thursday at 3:00.
