Kenny Durling blasted a three-run homer to key the Misericordia University baseball team to a 4-2 win at Manhattanville in the first game of a doubleheader split, Saturday.
Misericordia broke open a scoreless game with a four-run fifth-inning on their way to taking two of three from the Valiants.
Andrew Yasinski had two hits, including a single to lead off the fifth. After a

Nate Newman singled before Durling's blast.
Pat Clark tossed a six-hitter and struck out four to earn the win.
In the nightcap, Manhattanville used a pair of six-run runnings to win 16-6.
Newman had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs.
Nate Hamlin added two hits and
Kyle Engebrecht had a pinch-hit, RBI-double.
The Cougars took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, but Manhattanvile responded with two in the bottom and took the lead with six runs in the second. The Valiants put the game away with six more in the fifth.
Misericordia is 11-6 and 2-4 in the Freedom. The Cougars will visit Moravian in a non-league game, Tuesday.
