Freshman
Michelle Cameron won her first collegiate singles match but the Misericordia University women's tennis team fell 8-1 to defending Skyline Conference champion Mt. St. Mary, Monday.
Cameron won 6-1, 6-2 at fourth singles and also competed at first doubles with fellow rookie
Cassie Foy, losing 8-3.
Seniors
Ashley Mangabang and
Courtney Otto competed in the second doubles spot, falling 8-1. Mangabang lost a hard-fought opening set at second singles, eventually losing 7-5, 6-0.
Another freshman,
Breanne Phillips, made her debut at first singles.
The Cougars are 0-1 for the season and host Baptist Bible on September 18.
