MU Field Hockey Falls to King's

The Misericordia University field hockey team lost their final home game, 2-0, to King's, Saturday afternoon at Mangelsdorf Field.

Grace Riker saved four shots in goal and held the Monarchs scoreless in the final 46 minutes of play, including a save on a penalty stroke.

Jenera Quinones scored twice in the first half for King's.

MU's Katie Gabriele sent a cross through the circle with two minutes left in the first half, but it was just out of reach of her teammates.

The Cougars responded in the second half getting four shots on goal.

With 11 minutes left sophomore Rebecca Hindman shot from the left wing but was saved and cleared away by the Monarchs keeper. 

Off a corner, senior Emily Foley passed to senior Samantha Sorokas for a shot at the top of the circle, but the King's keeper made the save.

Misericordia is now 3-9 (1-4) and will play again at Wilkes, Tuesday.
